Many politicians refuse to answer the questions in the Project Vote-Smart solicitation because they don't want voters knowing where they stand on the issues! They like being able to fudge and evade when being asked about an issue, and having it on record and posted on the web is the last thing they want. Especially when it can be compared to their voting record while in session.

Garthwaite: My priorities are include taking a serious look at how we fund our schools. There are some options out there that just need to be debated, rather than hidden in the file cabinet. I'd like to ensure that every Wisconsinite has access to affordable medical coverage. The Wisconsin Health Security Act, Wisconsin Health Plan, and other plans need to be discussed. I'd like to see Wisconsin become a Clean Elections state, much like Arizona and Maine have.
