Jack Lohman

Health Care Activist, Retired Business Owner, Author,

To Discuss Health Care Crisis

The Ozaukee Community Awareness Forum is inviting all concerned citizens to discuss the health care crisis facing our country.  This important discussion will take place in the lower level meeting room of the Niederkorn Library, 316 West Grand Avenue, Port Washington on Saturday, June 2, 2007, and is free and open to the public.

Jack Lohman, a retired health care business owner, will speak and lead the discussion on the proposed National Health Care Insurance Act HR676 introduced in Congress by Rep. John Conyers.  This plan would provide comprehensive coverage for all, rich and poor, young and old, regardless of health condition, medical history, or employment status.  It would eliminate waste and red tape by replacing health insurers with a single, publicly financed plan.  At present, all industrialized countries in the world have publicly funded, universal, comprehensive health care programs, except the United States.

Mr. Lohman is a retired health care business owner whose only income is from Social Security and investments.  His business was a cardiac monitoring lab which he started and owned for 25 years.  Prior to owning his own business, he spent 10 years selling medical equipment to hospitals and clinics.  He published his first book in 2006, Politicians:  Owned & Operated by Corporate America.  He now spends his time advocating for political reform and health care reform.

Do you want the insurance industry in charge of your health care or do you want YOU?   Come and find out about this important legislation; it could be a matter of life or death.
